Programmes Overview
Courses cover tourism, hospitality, and business, complementary leisure and beauty therapy:
- CERTIFICATED SHORT / REFRESHER / HOBBY COURSES; in catering, events management, baking, cake making, housekeeping, front office, banqueting; cookery among others.
- VOCATIONAL SKILLS: Ministry of Higher Education Industrial Training Department Hotel and Catering (Trade Cook – Class Three to Class One, Trade Waiter –Class Two and One.)
- HEXCO academic courses ranging from National Certificate to Higher National Diploma in Professional Cookery, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Bakery Technology and Food and Beverage Service
- INTERNATIONALLY ACCREDITED CERTIFICATE AND DIPLOMA PROGRAMS offered through ICM, City and Guilds, CTH, ACCA, CILT
City and Guilds: Culinary Arts and Food preparation courses in 3 levels
ICM: certificate to advanced diploma with option to proceed to graduate in both tourism hospitality and business courses
- MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT: house- keeping, front office, guest relations hospitality supervision, finance for non-finance manager
- COMPLEMENTARY COURSES: Beauty Therapy, Casino Operations
- TOURISM: Learner Professional Guide and Tour operations through Ukhozi partnership
Block release lectures are offered to QBE (Qualified by experience) those with experience yet without necessary qualification. The courses run for periods ranging from a few weeks to four years, evenings, weekends, and school holidays
